Assistant Director, Mia’s Children Romania
Through the years, Costel Scarlat has helped over 75 children by providing tutoring, transportation, meals and much more.
He works with the boys at Mia’s Children to ensure that they learn to live well with other people and avoid some of the most common generational issues that Mia’s Children faces. He is a beloved friend to anyone who meets him, and a father figure to the children with whom he has worked.
Costel was born in Bucharest and attended Bucharest Polytechnic University, where he studied engineering. He worked as an engineer under communism. He also enjoys cooking, and is known for his artistry in presenting food! Costel and Mia have one son named Costi, a daughter-in-law named Oana, and a grandson named Mario Robert.
