Director of Communications, Mia’s Children Foundation USA
Joanna Miller was involved with Mia’s Children since its founding, when her mother Joan Castle began the mission with Mia Scarlat. She enjoyed having Mia in her home and learning about Romania as a child. But it was not until she visited Bucharest as an adult in 2005 that she became an active part of the organization.
She now serves as the Secretary and Communications Director for Mia’s Children USA, overseeing publications and marketing materials for the foundation. She loves telling the stories that are coming back from Bucharest.
Joanna is married to Michael Miller and works as a writer and communications strategist. She enjoys distance walking with her dog, Henry, writing about social justice issues, and exploring new places with Michael.
