As Mia prepared to return to Bucharest, she has shared several issues that need prayer.
1. Costel’s health and treatment
2. Her ability to organize the day and work so that she and Costel can do what they must do
3. Funding – with the Euro issues on top of inflation on a monthly basis, her budget has increased and just trying to feed the children has become more difficult.
4. Improved relations with the American doctor that treats the children
5. God’s strength as she works with the local officials in trying to meet their requirements so that Mia’s Children can stay open
6. Each child as they struggle and succeed in making decisions about their own lives and their futures
Post these on your mirror or refrigerator and pray for them daily. It is really critical that we build our contributions and prayer partners quickly. If you know of a church or civic organization that you think might be interested in hearing about or being a part of the Mia’s Children Foundation, please let us know.
It was a tearful scene at the airport as Mia said her goodbyes. We had spent the morning calling folks, visiting with people who dropped by to say goodbye and discussing the budget problems we face.
Mia shared that she needs encouragement as she faces a very abnormal life-style. She enjoyed having time to herself here, and perhaps that is the most difficult part in leaving. She would smile when she spoke about the children meeting her upon her return. She is grateful that God has chosen her to do the work she is doing – but it is constant. She asked that we pray diligently for them over the next few months.
