The Children Have Mia Back in Bucharest
Well, Mia made it home and I spoke with her on Sunday to wish her a happy birthday and to get an update from her.
Costel has had more tests and the findings are encouraging. By now he should be starting his diabetes treatment and Dr. Milt says that once he has regulated his blood sugar level Costel will feel much better. They are continuing to test other areas in an effort to eliminate conditions so they can identify the exact causes of symptoms and focus in on them. We should have more information on the tests this Friday. With Mia and Costel’s permission, I will keep you updated.
Since Mia got home the temperature has been extremely hot. She has been washing 20-25 people’s clothes by hand. Yep, the washing machine is broken but they are trying to get it repaired. Mia said the kids are pulling together to help out as much as they can. In addition, a storm came through a day or two after she got home and the internet has not worked since, so if you wrote her, she probably hasn’t seen it. Costi is working with a friend to get it fixed.
The children were all very glad to see her. Those who are working in Cyprus called and reported that they had all tested very well and received very nice work assignments. For those with Mia, this is a time when they are learning that sometimes you have to reset your priorities and give up your “Mia time” so that she can tend to Costel. They are all working together as they always do! Please continue praying for improved health and energy for everyone.
So, things are kind of getting back to normal…..that is normal – Romanian style.
