Mission Children Are Fighting Heat

As you will see below, the internet is back up. The heat is taking a toll on them and I discussed with Mia why they don’t use the airconditioner. She said their electric bill for the mission flat that has a/c will go over $500 a month if it is used. I am encouraging her to use it for a little while and cool everyone down from time to time.

Directly from Mia:

“At this late hour in the night they came and repaire the line after the storm. It’s so, so hot and no rain . Please, pray for our little Mario Robert. He’s in hospital {had stomach virus and got dehydrated}and Oana and Costy are very unhappy. I remember your hospital and they way you are treat there. What great differences! Please, pray for little one and for Claudia, for all of us who need to survive in such heat, over 104 F. We miss you and pray for you every day.
Love from all,
Mia”

Please consider helping to buy school supplies for the children. If you write supplies on your check it will be earmarked for that purpose. We need at least $800 for the first semester. This amount covers all their books, notebooks, etc. As they can, the younger ones share their text books to save money. Don’t forget, we are still looking for churches and groups where we can share Mia’s Children. Just go to the ‘How You Can Help’ link for more information.

A special thanks to Bill Bain for his assistance in getting Mia’s medical equipment shipped. It is in Bucharest awaiting customs clearance.
